Escucha un par de veces hasta que entiendas bien la historia.

Jack and I slept in a tent; Alex slept in a hammock outside.
Jack y yo dormimos en una tienda; Alex durmió en una hamaca en el exterior.

In the middle of the night my ears heard screaming.
En mitad de la noche mis oídos escucharon gritos.

Jack and I looked outside.
Jack y yo miramos fuera.

I saw Alex running.
Vi a Alex corriendo.

I saw his pants were down at his ankles.
Vi que tenía los pantalones bajados por los tobillos.

Jack yelled, “Look it’s a bear!”
Jack gritó: "¡Mira, es un oso!".

Alex yelled back, “Help me!”
Alex gritó: "¡Ayúdenme!"

My friend and I leapt into the action.
Mi amigo y yo saltamos a la acción.

Jack ran to help my friend Alex.
Jack corrió a ayudar a mi amigo Alex.

I saw the bear turn and chase Jack.
Vi cómo el oso se daba la vuelta y perseguía a Jack.

I saw Jack freeze with fear. His legs would not move.
Vi a Jack paralizarse de miedo. Sus piernas no se movían.

I saw the bear swipe Jack’s arm.
Vi cómo el oso golpeaba el brazo de Jack.

Then I saw Alex whack the bear’s nose with a big stick.

The bear ran toward me!

I tucked my head and rolled my body up. I played dead.

3. Escucha y practica responder

Escucha varias veces hasta que puedas responder correctamente a todas las preguntas a tiempo, con los ojos cerrados.

My friends and I went on a camping trip. Did my friends and I go on a camping trip or a ski trip? [CAMPING/SKI], yes.

I set up my tent in the mountains. Did I set my tent up in the mountains or on the beach? [MOUNTAINS/BEACH], yes.

In the middle of the night my ears heard screaming. Did I hear screaming at night or in the morning? [NIGHT/MORNING], correct.

Jack and I looked outside. Did Jack and I look outside or in the car? [OUTSIDE/IN THE CAR], yes.

I saw Alex running. Was Jack or Alex running? [JACK/ALEX], correct.

I saw his pants were down at his ankles. Were his pants at his ankles or his knees? [ANKLES/KNEES], yes.

Jack yelled, “Look it’s a bear!” Did Jack yell that there was a bear or a cougar? [BEAR/COUGAR], yes.

I saw Jack freeze with fear. His legs would not move. Did Jack run or not move? [RUN/NOT MOVE], correct.

I saw the bear swipe Jack’s arm. Did the bear swipe Jack’s arm or back? [ARM/BACK], correct.

Then I saw Alex whack the bear’s nose with a big stick. Did Alex whack the bear’s nose or his ears? [NOSE/EARS], yes.

The bear ran toward me! Did the bear run toward me or Alex? [ME/ALEX], yes.

I tucked my head and rolled my body up. I played dead. Did I fight the bear or play dead? [FIGHT/PLAY DEAD], correct.
