1. Escucha con traducción

Escucha un par de veces hasta que entiendas bien la historia.

I drove my car to a restaurant drive-thru.
Conduje mi coche hasta el autoservicio de un restaurante.

I waited for ten minutes.
Esperé diez minutos.

I drove up to the speaker.
Me acerqué al altavoz.

I read the menu on the screen.
Leí el menú en la pantalla.

I had many foods to choose from.
Tenía muchos alimentos para elegir.

I heard a voice say, “How can I help you?”
Oí una voz que decía: "¿En qué puedo ayudarle?".

I replied, “I would like a three piece chicken dinner.”
Respondí: "Me gustaría una cena de pollo de tres piezas".

The voice asked if I wanted potatoes.
La voz me preguntó si quería patatas.

I said, “I would like potatoes and green beans.”
Le dije: "Quiero patatas y judías verdes".

I then drove my car to the pick-up window.

“That will be $8.68, please,” the cashier told me.

2. Escucha sin traducción

3. Escucha y practica responder

Escucha varias veces hasta que puedas responder correctamente a todas las preguntas a tiempo, con los ojos cerrados.

I drove my car to a restaurant drive-thru. Did I drive my car or my motorcycle to the drive-thru? [CAR/MOTORCYCLE], yes.

I waited for ten minutes. Did I wait for ten or twenty minutes? [TEN/TWENTY], yes.

I drove up to the speaker. Did I drive up to the speaker or the door? [SPEAKER/DOOR], correct.

I read the menu on the screen. Did I read the menu or the news on the screen? [MENU/NEWS], yes.

I had many foods to choose from. Did I have many or few foods to choose from? [MANY/FEW], yes.

I heard a voice say, “How can I help you?” Did I hear a voice or barking? [VOICE/BARKING], yes.

I replied, “I would like a three piece chicken dinner.” Did I ask for a two or three piece dinner? [TWO/THREE], correct.

The voice asked if I wanted potatoes. Did the voice ask if I wanted potatoes or corn? [POTATOES/CORN], yes.

I said, “I would like potatoes and green beans.” Did I say I wanted green beans or rice? [GREEN BEANS/RICE], correct.

I then drove my car to the pick-up window. Did I drive my car to the pick-up window or the parking lot? [PICK-UP WINDOW/PARKING LOT], yes.

“That will be $8.68, please,” the cashier told me. Did the cashier or the cook tell me the cost of $8.68? [CASHIER/COOK], yes.

I handed her twenty dollars. Did I hand her twenty or fifty dollars? [TWENTY/FIFTY], correct.

She gave me my change. Did she give me change or napkins? [CHANGE/NAPKINS], yes.

I got $11.32 back as change. Did I get change back or forks? [CHANGE/FORKS], yes.

I took my dinner home. Did I take my dinner home or to work? [HOME/WORK], yes.

My girlfriend came over. Did my girlfriend or my brother come over? [GIRLFRIEND/BROTHER], correct.

I could tell she was hungry! Was she hungry or sleepy? [HUNGRY/SLEEPY], yes.
