Juan and Carlos are gardeners in the United States.

"Juan, do you see that big bush?"
"Juan, ¿ves ese arbusto tan grande?."

"Yes, Carlos, it needs trimming.".
"Sí, Carlos, hay que podarlo."

Carlos holds up his clippers. "Time for a haircut!"
Carlos sostiene sus tijeras. "¡Es hora de un corte de pelo!"

Juan laughs. "Do you think it will pay us?"
Juan se ríe. "¿Crees que nos pagará?."

"Maybe, it has more money than us!"
"¡Quizá, tiene más dinero que nosotros!."

Juan nods. "True, it lives in a rich house."
Juan asiente. "Es verdad, vive en una casa rica."

Carlos starts trimming. "How short should it be?"
Carlos empieza a recortar. "¿Qué tan corto debe ser?"

"Like your hair, very short!"
"¡Como tu pelo, muy corto!"

Carlos touches his bald head. "Very funny, Juan!"
Carlos se toca la calva. "¡Muy gracioso, Juan!"

Juan laughs. "Just a little trim then."
Juan se ríe. "Sólo un pequeño recorte entonces."

Carlos trims carefully. "Better than my last haircut."
Carlos recorta con cuidado. "Mejor que mi último corte de pelo."

Juan grins. "Your wife cut your hair?"
Juan sonríe. "¿Tu mujer te cortó el pelo?"

Carlos sighs. "Yes, with a lawnmower!"
Carlos suspira. "¡Sí, con un cortacésped!"

Juan laughs hard. "Did she trim the grass too?"
Juan se ríe con ganas. "¿También cortó el césped?"

Carlos shakes his head. "No, she likes it long."
Carlos niega con la cabeza. "No, a ella le gusta largo."

Juan pretends to be serious. "Grass or your hair?"
Juan finge estar serio. "¿El céséd o el pelo?"

"Both!"
"¡Las dos cosas!"

Juan pats Carlos’s shoulder. "We need new barbers."
"Necesitamos nuevos peluqueros."

Carlos nods. "And better paychecks!"
Carlos asiente. "¡Y mejores sueldos!"

Juan smiles. "Maybe the bush can tip us!"

Carlos laughs. "Only if we give it a good haircut."

And they both laugh, happy with their funny day.
