1. Escucha con traducción

Escucha un par de veces hasta que entiendas bien la historia.

I like to eat American food.
Me gusta comer comida americana.

I can order a hamburger meal.
Puedo pedir una hamburguesa.

The waitress asks, “What can I get for you today?”
La camarera pregunta: "¿Qué le sirvo hoy?".

I reply, “I’ll get the hamburger.”
Yo respondo: "La hamburguesa".

My hamburger can have toppings.
Mi hamburguesa puede tener aderezos.

I choose ketchup.
Elijo ketchup.

My hamburger can have vegetable toppings too.
Mi hamburguesa también puede llevar ingredientes vegetales.

The waitress asks, “Do you want lettuce, tomato, or onions?”
La camarera pregunta: "¿Quiere lechuga, tomate o cebolla?".

“Lettuce and tomato”, I answer.
"Lechuga y tomate", respondo.

I don’t like onions.
No me gusta la cebolla.

Cheese can be put on my hamburger.

Then my hamburger is called a cheeseburger.

I like french fries to eat with my burger.
Me gustan las patatas fritas para acompañar la hamburguesa.

“Can I get an order of fries?”, I ask.
"¿Puedo pedir una porción de papas fritas?", pregunto.

I get a large order of french fries.
Pido una porción grande de papas fritas.

Last, the waitress asks what I want to drink.
Por último, la camarera me pregunta qué quiero beber.

“I want a small Coke,” I tell her.
"Quiero una Coca-Cola pequeña", le digo.

My girlfriend does not like hamburgers.
A mi novia no le gustan las hamburguesas.

I order a chicken sandwich for her.
Pido un sándwich de pollo para ella.

My girlfriend does not want french fries.
Mi novia no quiere patatas fritas.

2. Escucha sin traducción

3. Escucha y practica responder

Escucha varias veces hasta que puedas responder correctamente a todas las preguntas a tiempo, con los ojos cerrados.

I like to eat American food. Do I like to eat American food? [YES/NO], I do.

I will order a hamburger meal. Will I order a taco? [YES/NO], I won’t.

The waitress asks, “What can I get for you today?” Does the waitress ask me to leave? [YES/NO], she doesn't.

I reply, “I’ll get the hamburger.” Do I say I’ll get the soup? [YES/NO], I don’t.

My hamburger can have toppings. Can my hamburger have toppings? [YES/NO], I can get toppings.

I choose ketchup. Do I choose mustard? [YES/NO], I choose ketchup.

The waitress asks, “Do you want lettuce, tomato, or onions?” Does the waitress ask if I want spinach? [YES/NO], she doesn’t.

“Lettuce and tomato,” I answer. Do I say I want bacon? [YES/NO], I don’t.

I don’t like onions. Do I like onions? [YES/NO], I don’t.

Cheese can be put on my hamburger. Is cheese an option to put on my hamburger? [YES/NO], it is.

Then my hamburger is called a cheeseburger. Does a cheeseburger have cheese on it? [YES/NO], it does.

I like french fries to eat with my burger. Do I like to get fries with my burger? [YES/NO], I do.

“Can I get an order of fries?” I ask. Do I ask for an order of beans? [YES/NO], I don’t.

I get a large order of fries. Do I get a small order of fries? [YES/NO], I don’t.

Last, the waitress asks what I want to drink. Does the waitress ask if I want dessert? [YES/NO], she asks what I want to drink.

“I want a small Coke,” I tell her. Do I want a small Pepsi? [YES/NO], I don’t.

My girlfriend does not like hamburgers. Does my girlfriend like hamburgers? [YES/NO], she does not.

I order a chicken sandwich for her. Do I order her a taco? [YES/NO], I order a chicken sandwich.
