1. Escucha con traducción

Escucha un par de veces hasta que entiendas bien la historia.

I went to see a movie.
Fui a ver una película.

I arrived at the theater at 3:00 pm.
Llegué al cine a las tres de la tarde.

But I was early.
Pero llegué pronto.

I asked the attendant, “What time does the movie start?”
Le pregunté al encargado: "¿A qué hora empieza la película?".

He told me, “The movie starts in thirty minutes.”
Me dijo: "La película empieza dentro de treinta minutos".

I watched the movie.
Vi la película.

Later at home, I baked a chicken.
Más tarde, en casa, horneé un pollo.

I set the oven timer for one hour.
Programé el temporizador del horno para una hora.

My chicken finished cooking at 7:00 pm.
El pollo terminó de cocinarse a las 7 de la tarde.

I fell asleep at 11:00 in the evening.
Me dormí a las once de la noche.

But I woke up at midnight.
Pero me desperté a medianoche.

I was hungry.

I knew I shouldn’t eat until morning.

3. Escucha y practica responder

Escucha varias veces hasta que puedas responder correctamente a todas las preguntas a tiempo, con los ojos cerrados.

I went to see a movie. Did I go see my mother? [YES/NO], I did not.

I arrived at the theater at 3:00 pm. Did I arrive at the theater at 3:00 am? [YES/NO], I arrived at 3:00 pm.

But I was early. Was I early? [YES/NO], I was.

I asked the attendant, “What time does the movie start?” Did I ask what time the movie started? [YES/NO], I did.

He told me, “The movie starts in thirty minutes.” Did the movie start in twenty minutes? [YES/NO], it started in thirty minutes.

I watched the movie. Did I watch the movie? [YES/NO], I did.

At home later, I baked a chicken. Later did I bake cookies? [YES/NO], I baked a chicken.

I set the oven timer for one hour. Did I set the time for one hour? [YES/NO], I did.

My chicken finished cooking at 7:00 pm. Was the chicken finished at 7:00 pm? [YES/NO], it was.

I fell asleep at 11:00 in the evening. Did I fall asleep at 10:00 in the morning? [YES/NO], I didn’t.

But I woke up at midnight. Did I wake up at midnight? [YES/NO], I did.

I was hungry. Was I thirsty? [YES/NO], I wasn’t.

I knew I shouldn’t eat until morning. Should I eat late at night? [YES/NO], I should not.

I heard my alarm clock at 8:00 am. Did I hear my alarm at 6:00 am? [YES/NO], I didn’t.

I hate mornings. Do I like mornings? [YES/NO], I don’t.

I drank a pot of coffee. Did I drink a cup of coffee? [YES/NO], I didn’t.

I wanted to shop for clothes. Did I want to go shopping? [YES/NO], I did.

I called the store and asked, “What time do you open?” Did I ask what time the store opened? [YES/NO], I did.

The clerk told me, “10 o’clock.” Did the store open at 10:00 am? [YES/NO], it did.
